Carol Cordell, Donna Donald, Tera Jordan, Tera Lawson, Carl Weems receive University Awards

Five College of Human Sciences faculty and staff members were recognized on Sept. 25 at Iowa State University’s annual awards ceremony. Carol Cordell, an academic adviser in kinesiology, received the Regents Award for Staff Excellence, which recognizes outstanding university citizens for their significant service to the university or the state of Iowa. Donna Donald, a field specialist in Human Sciences Extension and Outreach, received the Award for Distinguished Service in Extension. This is the highest award bestowed on an Extension professional, and recognizes sustained distinguished performance and educational contributions. Tera Jordan, assistant professor in human development and family studies, received the Award for Inclusive Excellence, a newly established award that recognizes P&S staff who have advanced the university’s mission of diversity, equity and inclusion beyond their usual job responsibilities. Tera Lawson, program coordinator for the Center for Technology in Learning and Teaching in the School of Education, received the Professional and Scientific Council Award for her contributions and achievements both inside and outside of Iowa State. And Carl Weems, professor and chair of human development and family studies, received the Award for Early Achievement in Departmental Leadership for his impact as department chair during the first three years of his role. More».
