Kere Hughes-Belding and Carla Peterson receive award to expand project:

Kere Hughes-Belding, an associate professor, and Carla Peterson, the associate dean of HDFS, received a $11,638 award to expand their work with the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting project in Iowa. A assessment of the quality of parent-child interaction, Parenting Interactions with Children: A Checklist of Observations Linked to Outcomes (PICCOLO), is being used as an outcome measure for the program. Drs. Hughes-Belding and Peterson are training home visitors across Iowa to help administer the PICCOLO measure and use the resulting data to inform their interventions with families.
