Family Finance, Housing, and Policy (FFHP)

Overview

The Family Finance, Housing, and Policy (FFHP) curriculum prepares students for professional work related to financial and housing resource management. Students also are trained in housing and family policy that can be applied at the national, state, and local levels. Graduates of the program are prepared for employment within the public and private sector. FFHP majors also are prepared to enter graduate programs in family policy and family financial planning. The FFHP curriculum includes studies drawn from business, communications, design, economics, education, family studies, political science, psychology, and sociology.

Possible Careers Options for FFHP Graduates

  • Graduates of the Family Finance option go on to work for banks, financial and investment firms, credit unions, and state and federal govenments. Possible career options include:

    • Consumer Credit Counselor
    • Loan Officer
  • Graduates of the Family Policy or Housing option work with real estate firms, non-profit organizations, government agencies, extension services, and more. Possible career options include:
