Honors Program

 

The University Honors Program and corresponding college honors programs enable high ability students to pursue an individualized program of study to meet their specific academic goals. Students who have a 3.35 cumulative grade-point average may apply for admission during their second semester in residence at ISU. Outstanding freshmen students may be eligible for the Freshman Honors Program.

Students participating in the Honors Program have the flexibility to make substitutions for required courses and even develop a new major or minor by combining coursework from several departments. Students typically enroll in special honors courses and seminars as well as independent study and research activities.
