Undergraduate Minors

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies offers minors in Child, Adult, and Family Services and in Family Finance, Housing and Policy. The department also participates in an interdepartmental minor in gerontology. A minimum of 15 credits must be completed from the following course requirements for the 2009-2011 catalog. In order to officially declare a minor the Request for Minor form must be filed by a student.

 

Child, Adult, and Family Services Minor:

  1. HDFS 102
  2. Select 1 course (3 credits) from:
    HDFS 220, 221, 226, 227 or 377
  3. Select 3 courses (9 credits) from:
    HDFS 270, 344, 349, 360, 367, 373, 380, 395, 449, 463 or 479

Family Finance, Housing, and Policy Minor:

  1. HDFS 239, 283, 395
  2. Select 2 courses (6 credits) from:
    HDFS 341, 360, 378, 463, 483, 488 or 489
